Three pills, one habit

Talk. Makuu does the remembering.

The three pills in our logo are the whole idea: capture what was said, understand who owes what, and make sure it happens.

01

Record

One tap or ⌥⌘R. Record on your Mac, or let your iPhone listen while the call runs on your iPad. No bot joins the meeting.

02

Understand

Transcribed on your device. Makuu names the speakers and suggests tasks, promises and decisions.

03

Follow through

Tasks land by due date, people show what they owe you, and anything left open moves to the next meeting on its own agenda.

Before · During · After

Walk in prepared. Walk out with a list.

Before

What you owe them, what they owe you

Open promises with everyone in the room, gathered before you join.

An agenda that writes itself

Park a note with >standup and it waits for the next standup, wherever the series goes.

Last time, in one glance

What was discussed, what got done and what moved.

During

Notes while you listen

↩ saves a note at this moment of the recording, ⌘↩ makes it a task.

Tick the agenda as you go

The checklist sits next to the transcript. Nothing gets forgotten at the end of the hour.

Always visible, never in the way

A quiet indicator in the menu bar shows you are recording.

After

Suggestions, not surprises

For you, Owed and Decisions, each with the sentence it came from. Accept, edit or dismiss.

Leftovers move on

Anything not discussed moves to the next meeting in the series with one click.

Nothing sent behind your back

Follow-up emails and messages are drafts. You decide what leaves.

Privacy

Private by design, not by promise.

Your meetings stay yours. Audio and transcripts live on your devices, and you choose, per project, whether AI in the cloud may ever see a word.

On device

Audio never leaves

Recordings and full transcripts are stored only on your Mac, iPad and iPhone. Never on our servers.

Local onlyCloud

You pick who reads

Local only is the default. Switch a project to Cloud and the transcript passes through Claude once, never logged or kept.

Drafts only

Nothing goes out on its own

No emails, tickets or reports are ever sent automatically. Makuu prepares, you press send.

No bot

Nobody new in the call

Makuu listens through your device, not as a guest. Voice profiles stay on your devices, with your consent.

The little things

Small shortcuts that give back your afternoon.

Quick add from anywhere

⌥Space opens a tiny panel over any app. Type it like you'd say it.

Everyone you meet gets a page: what you owe, what they owe, and when you see each other next.

Timesheets that fill themselves

Hours per project from your calendar, overlaps counted once. Approve the day and copy it into your timesheet.

Every calendar you already have

Makuu reads the calendars on your device, so iCloud, Google and Outlook all just work. Map each one to a project.

Why “Makuu”?

Named after someone who always knows what you should be doing.

Maku is what I call my wife. She is very good at giving me tasks, and very good at remembering them. Makuu does the same, just a little more politely. In Czech it also sounds like “makat”: to get stuff done.

Peter, maker of Makuu

Makuu knows what's next.
